Against everything else.

Including the parts where they beat us, named and specific. A sheet with a tick in every one of our rows would tell you nothing except that we wrote it.

Start here

What Cornerstone does not do

  • No BIM or model coordination

We read sheets. If your job is modelled and clash detection belongs against the model, that is Autodesk.

  • No accounting integration yet

Exports are CSV today. If your books have to stay in lockstep with the job automatically, this is the gap that matters most, and we would rather you hear it here.

  • No native mobile app, no offline

Responsive web. The field never opens it anyway: they text a photo to a number.

  • No sheet markup

No redlining, no overlays. Keep Bluebeam.

  • No warranty or service module

The year after closeout is Buildertrend's, honestly.

  • No timecards, no equipment tracking

Keep whatever you use. We are not trying to be everything.

  • No meetings or QA checklist builder

On the roadmap. Not in the product.

  • No full CPM scheduler

A three-week look-ahead resequenced nightly. It does not replace P6.

  • No integration marketplace

An API is planned, not shipped.

Who each of these actually is

Cornerstone

A crew of agents that works your jobs overnight and hands you one report at 5am.

Built for
GCs running TI, medical, retail and light industrial. Custom builders and remodelers.
Priced
Flat monthly by active job count. Setup once. Model spend capped and published.
Seats
Unlimited. Your whole office, including the bookkeeper who logs in twice a month.
Sub accounts
None, ever. Subs answer a text or forward an email to the job address.
Strongest at
It does the work rather than storing it. Nothing else on this page drafts the RFI, chases the certificate or catches the duplicate line on its own.

Procore

The commercial construction platform of record. Broad, mature, deeply integrated.

Built for
Commercial GCs, owners and specialty contractors, small to enterprise.
Priced
Annual, priced against your construction volume, with modules bought separately.
Seats
Unlimited users on your own team.
Sub accounts
Free collaborator accounts, but a sub still has to create one and log in to use them.
Strongest at
Breadth and ecosystem. Hundreds of integrations, a serious mobile app with offline, and a decade of hardening. If you need one system that touches everything and connects to everything, this is the one.

Autodesk Build

Construction management sitting on top of the Autodesk design stack.

Built for
GCs and owners whose projects are modelled, and anyone already living in Revit.
Priced
Per-user subscription, sold in packs.
Seats
Per named user.
Sub accounts
Collaborators are invited users.
Strongest at
Model coordination. If your job is built in Revit and clash detection needs to happen against the model rather than the sheets, nothing here competes with it.

Buildertrend

The residential standard: scheduling, selections, client communication and invoicing.

Built for
Custom home builders, remodelers and specialty residential contractors.
Priced
Monthly tiers per company, with the higher tiers unlocking financials.
Seats
Unlimited internal users on most tiers.
Sub accounts
Subs and clients get portal logins.
Strongest at
Residential workflow depth and the client portal. Selections, warranty, invoicing and homeowner communication in one place, built by people who know remodels. CoConstruct is now part of the same company.

Fieldwire, Raken and the like

Field-first point tools: plans in a pocket, tasks, punch, daily reports.

Built for
Superintendents and field crews who want one job done well.
Priced
Per user, monthly, with a usable free tier.
Seats
Per named user.
Sub accounts
Invited users.
Strongest at
Field usability. Fast, offline, and a foreman will actually open it. If the only problem you have is getting current plans and punch into the field, a point tool beats a platform.

Spreadsheets, email and a binder

What most of the industry actually runs on.

Built for
Almost everybody, including plenty of companies who also pay for one of the above.
Priced
Free, plus whatever the misses cost you.
Seats
Unlimited.
Sub accounts
None.
Strongest at
Zero adoption friction and infinite flexibility. It is the incumbent you are really competing with, and it never has an outage.

Records the work

Table stakes. Every platform here does most of this, and where we do not, it says so. If this section were the whole comparison you should buy Procore.

Section 2 of 3

Does the work

This is the section the sheet exists for. Everything above stores what a person already did. Everything below is work that happened without a person doing it. No competitor on this page claims any row here, and that is not a knock on them: it is a different product category.

When you should buy one of theirs

We would rather lose a deal we should lose than spend six months failing a company we should never have sold.

Buy Procore

You need one platform that touches everything and connects to everything.

Hundreds of integrations, a hardened offline mobile app, an owner-side product, and a decade of enterprise deployment behind it. If you have an accounting system that has to stay in lockstep and a compliance department that needs modules we do not build, buy Procore. We will still be worth running alongside it.

Buy Autodesk Build

Your projects are modelled and coordination happens against the model.

We read sheets. If your team lives in Revit and clash detection belongs in the model, nothing we do replaces that.

Buy Buildertrend

The homeowner relationship and the year after closeout are the whole job.

Warranty, service tickets, homeowner invoicing and a portal built for people who like portals. We do not do warranty at all yet.

Buy A field tool

Your only real problem is current plans and punch in the field.

Fieldwire or Raken will solve that for a fraction of anything on this page, today, and a foreman will actually open it.

Buy Spreadsheets

You run two jobs a year and you have never eaten a change order.

Then the honest answer is that you do not have the problem this product solves, and we would rather say so now than sell you a subscription you cancel in April.

Every product on this page is a filing cabinet. This one is a crew.

The question is not which system stores your RFIs best. It is whether an RFI gets written at all on the night a clash appears on sheet A-402, whether the certificate gets chased on the ninth day rather than the day after it lapses, and whether anybody adds up the lighting picks before the order goes in. Those things do not happen because software recorded them. They happen because somebody did them, and at two in the morning nobody is doing them.

Compiled 2026-08-18 from each vendor’s published materials. Modules, pricing and packaging change, and every one of these companies ships continuously, so verify anything here that would change your decision before you sign. If we have a row wrong, tell us and we will correct it on this page rather than argue about it in a meeting.

Put it on a job.

Twenty minutes of intake and the crew starts working your job this week. We load your subs, ingest your drawing set, and the first 5am report lands within two mornings. Setup plus a monthly tier, cancel any month. If it does not catch something you would have eaten, cancel and you have learned that.
